I'll be honest, florida has been fine for me. EVERYTHING i search for is more cleaner.

The difference for me is i'm not here to generate revenue from the search engines, i'm here to generate traffic for a community based site with lots of content.

When i search for specific terms i'm getting better matches on keyword density, topics, subjects and less "tricks" then before.

I'm not sure if i can speak of the keywords, but i'm ending up with alot less generic catch all site that link to amazon to sell me crap and more vendor/product and content based sites.

Google is here to index content and give everyone a fair share. I followed the guidelines and still do and it works fine for me :)

will this thread ever die? now it's become a critique of itself!

The critique is not for the thread, but for the acctitude of most of us.
The site I work on is now floating between #550 and #300, making hard even to keep a dayly report about its position. But I also admit that there are many sites more interesting for the users than mine. I need to go up again, some people's job depend on it, but I already know that I don't deserve #1. I hope that in a short term, with a lot of effort, I'll be up again, at least in the top 20.
Instead of discussing how bad has been the update, we should discusse what has been done in the update: which factors are now used by G to rank the SERPs? This would be a better question than Which has been the worst update?
