Toolbar greyed for all sites?

Does anyone else see the toolbar greyed out for all sites? I'm not getting anything.

Yes, toolbar PR has gone, but so what,eh! It has happened before. I can't believe it is worthy of a 50-page thread!

Besides, does anyone see any real merit from PR these days? Has it suddenly become important again? If so, that's certainly a blast from the past.

But for better or worse it is back. And looks like it will be around for a while I would have thought.

Definitely some webmasters smoking too much of something they shouldn't here ;)

It's back, but shoes a grey bar on one of my sites. I tried loading it multiple ways too, and nothing... The site ranks #1 for companyname.

I think many webmasters were mistaking the absence of a Google toolbar PR indicator and its possible demise with the possible demise of PR itself as the basis of Google's ranking algo. Hence the hysteria.

For many the PR toolbar shows perhaps the only tangible results of an SEO's link building efforts.
(This is of course neglecting SERPs, but judging by them is a lot vaguer than a straightforward PR comparison.)

Not only is the PR back, but also the old "non-colored" search results, without the fancy purple and green highlights we saw while the toolbar was blank.

So, now that the feathers, dust, and what-not has settled, there is at least one conclusion all of us can embrace...

GG does not see the PR toolbar servers as mission critical. For that matter, I suspect that page relevance and placement within the serps is calculated some where else than on those servers.
