PR toolbar went grey again - I'm in Australia as well.

fyi - not sure if it was a coincidence, but i downloaded the latest toolbar version and it previously came back [ around 4 days ago ] - but just repeating it's gone down again

PR Toolbar is now FIXED! :)

Thanks to some good friends who sent this simple instruction. It might be a similar case with persons using other country defaults - why doesn't Google communicate these things to make us all happy?

"You can get your google toolbar functioning again by following these steps:

1. First uninstall it
2. Re-installing it
3. Where the installer has the option "Please select a google site to
use for your searches", ensure that you leave it as the default
(google.com)
4. Also ensure that you select "enable advanced features"

For some reason google does not seem to have restored its PR info for Australian toolbar users yet and therefore if you select google.com.au
as your google site for searches the toolbar shows no pagerank.

next thing ........ my 50,000 .com.au page site went down the tube around the same time as this instability [ May 23 thru to now ] ..... any experts out there ..... could it have something to do with .au backlinks being upset in the search algorithm! ie my referral links sould somehow be caught up in the breakdown?

Guy's and Girls I'm on my knees hoping for a solution!

good find.
even just going to options and changing "Use Google Site" from .com.au to .com, then closing IE and reopening it, has got my PR working again (ie. no need to reinstall toolbar)
