I think it's toolbarqueries.google.com.

List every datacenter and then whack a "#" in front of those badboys to comment them out. Remove the # for the appopriate datacenter at the time.

Ok, it's easier to tell than search :P

In your windows "system32\drivers\etc" directory there is a file called "hosts", which you edit with notepad. Add the entries to the file. Use a # for comments.

In my idea you will need to know the IP's of the various datacenters first and then look in this thread (http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum3/2927.htm), look for Progen post msg 8.

If SERPs really stay this way, and PR has been updated, does that mean Google is updating PR on the fly now? Looks like it, doesnīt it? Otherwise, many webmaster should haven see big changes for their sites now or a few days ago. Well, I personally havenīt seen much of a change for my sites. And as far as I can see, nobody else has.

So Google seems to have found a way to do more regular PR updates. Maybe some small hint from his eminence, Mr GG, could point us in the right direction? :)

I can see changes to PR in the toolbar when visiting sites. This may be like in past PR updates where it flickers around from what you were to what you may be.

woohoo.. from 26 backlinks to 660. I haven't noticed any move what so ever in the rankings. But it is nice to know what links they found. :)

It's not really an update - just google catching up with backlinks and PR.

There won't be any changes in the SERPS and ultimately that's what people here worry/get excited about!

I agree it is interesting and nice to see though. I'm about quarter-excited as I can now see my backlinks that I worked hard to get appearing and I see our PR has gone up a notch.

But I knew that was going to happen anyway, so it's not really "news".

As you say trillianjedi not really news as such but I have to admit that I enjoy seeing the PR fluctuate like this knowing it as at least moving in the right direction.

I'm happy but not excited because of the unpredictability of the new google. Finally all my new pages the last three weeks have been added to the google index in the last seven hours. Yea, I guess I'm excited because I tapped a major part of my industry that others have overlooked. Whether or not everything stays is another question.

Looks strange for me.
My index.htm has PR5 with 282 Backlinks.

Now I have over 1830 Backlinks, so I chequed the NEW PR but my new PR still PR5 ... Looks strange for me. :(

Lot of my minor sites (over 10) under the root has became PR4 from PR0, does it count to get higher PR in my index?

Can this be still updated or should I understand this will be my final PR in my index.htm?

i AM excited! finally, (on cw datacenter only), i can see the results of all my hard labor at getting backlinks! not only have my backlinks increased nicely there, but also my ranking in the SERPS. so i am tingling with excitement as i watch (hopefully) the other datacenters catch up. Finally have something exciting happen - its been so long.

how do you know for sure there wont be changes in the SERPs - Im seeing plenty of changes today across alot of my sites and I believe its a little more than just backlinks and PR. I would wait till the datacenters line up to www2 and 3 for an official call, but I do believe there is an update underway.
Also agree that deepbot is going crazy - having a good deep crawl

Except for PR and back links, I'm not seeing new results/rankings on www-cw.

I'm checking some very competitive keywords whose refresh rate is supposed to be higher, but the results look pretty much the same all over the data centers.

trillianjedi may be right.

PS: Does anybody have a sample query showing different results on www and www-cw? If so, please stickymail it to me.

I have a question. How can we see backlinks for a domain, but only those from other sites and not backlinks from the same domain.

When I am searching for link:www.widget.com, it is giving me a combination of backlinks from the same domain as well from other domains, but what I want to see is only the backlinks from other domains.

I even tried the below mentioned styles but even they didn't work,
link:www.widget.com -domain:widget.com
link:www.widget.com -site:widget.com

How can I achieve this?
