When I do a backlink check on the nine data centers for Yahoo! (Brett's thing), it is only -fi that shows a different number of backlinks (799,000). All other eight centers show the Dominic number (617,000).
I think Es is still only in -fi...
My understanding is that -fi is probably the most up-to-date datacenter, there seem to be a lot of index pages and results which have been incorporated there but not elsewhere. I think most of us are hoping too that fi is "further along". I know I am.
The trend is very much that index pages are hopping in and out of datacenters such as -fi and -dc, rather like a light flickering on and off, and causing webmasters to jump for joy one moment and cry the next. I'm pretty sure this is all part of the update and when it's done these index pages will be factored in completely with the new SERPS showing throughout Google.
If you're flickering, you're turning on not off. :)

Your feeling that -fi may be further along than -dc...I'm curious why you think that, given that -fi and -dc appear to be the only two dc's to have the new index.
Is it the fact that -fi appeared with the new index first (I think)? Or, something else?
I'm asking because I'm not sure that just because -fi was first with the new index that it is still further along than -dc ... with Dominic it seemed at times that data centers were sometimes in the lead and other times not.
PS...I'm not flickering in -dc and -fi...rather, with a few key sites, I'm up significantly in -fi; down significantly in the -dc. So obviously I'm hoping -fi is the better indicator for now, but as you say, things are changing so who knows...
My hunch that -fi is more up-to-date is because it had not only the index first, but also for my site and my competitors is consistently showing fresh index pages and SERPS first. It just seems to keep doing things first, and -dc and also -va seem to keep following. Who knows how it will all pan out, but for me anyway -fi looks to be the best indicator so far.

reneewood - yes. We have quite a few sites, and some are popping in and out. I'm actually worried less about those than about the ones that are dropping in the SERP's in some data centers.
For now at least, I'm assuming that ones that are coming in and out will ultimately be in...why not, unless there is some major penalty involved with them...but in our case we try hard to avoid anything that would cause a penalty, so I doubt that's it. Like Jeremy said...if they are flickering they are probably in.
Try to keep your patience a bit longer. Besides, no sense in going ballistic until you're sure it's warrented ;-)
My worry is that when we see a site that is up, and then in another dc it's down...well that seems like something in the algo is hurting us in some cases...but as I've posted elsewhere we're having a devil of a time figuring out what might be hurting us...

Synonyms -- Patience, Resignation. Patience implies the quietness or self-possession of one's own spirit under sufferings, provocations, etc.; resignation implies submission to the will of another. The Stoic may have patience; the Christian should have both patience and resignation.
