In this way webmasters could signal to the Googlebot to refresh its DNS for a site at the next crawl.
For eight months a site I've seen has suffered because Googlebot goes and crawls a domain that was hosted on a static IP and was then switched over to a another server.
Googlebot keeps going back to the domain using the old DNS, and indexing the site that now sits at that IP, more interesting than that is, Google then gives the keywords assigned to the old domain to the site now sitting on that IP! And presents them in their search engine results.
Patience is a virtue...so I am told..but this is getting out of hand!
I know I'm not alone either.

Why not extend the Google Web APIs License Key to WPG, IBP, Web CEO, Top Dog etc etc so users can safely run checks? I understand WPG approached Google about this but got no response.
