Continued from [webmasterworld.com...]

I wish the new interface for adding an ad group had a wider window for inputting keywords. Lots of what I put in is wider than that window. It's a real hassle to deal with. A taller window would help a bit, too.

About the search function (above):
Totally Agree!

It's the only place where adding more keywords leads to worse results.

Add the abilty to search:
1. Exact phrase
2. by particular Campaign
3. Keywords only
4. Ads only

I'd like to see a Shift+Enter function for selecting keywords from - to in campaign management.

Thanks for all the latest suggestions, which I've just pasted into the Advertiser Feedback Report.

The "...walk down the hall to get all the magic tech needed..." comment gave me a pretty good chuckle, elsewhen. Thanks, I needed that!

i have mentioned {bid} before for the tracking code, which would be fantastic... it would also be great to see {match_type} - of course the result would be 'phrase' 'broad' or 'exact'

would be great for campaign analytics and fine-tuning campaigns

Sorry if this has already mentioned in threads #1-4, but one feature I would really like to see is:

Duplicating campaigns

Right now I have a campaign that took me months to tweak, geotargeted to the UK using our example.co.uk domain.

Oh how I would like to have the same targeted to the USA, with minor changes, using the .com domain!

But of course I want to tweak all the bids and spellings and destination URLs.

Oh if anyone has built a tool with the APIs to do that, well then, I will buy. But it would seem so easy for Google to add a "Duplicate campaign" button (and of course the new campaign would be paused until one has made the changes).

Finally, I would also like the synonym broadmatch to be made optional. I'm going crazy adding unthinked-of negative keywords to my campaign!

Here's one I think would definitely improve the look of the ads themselves. How about a check box next to the lines when you are creating an ad that will turn on and off an option to automatically center the text when it is shown on the right hand vertical bar. While I have somewhat mastered how to fill the 35 characters sometimes my creativity is hindered because the bottom line is shorter than the top line and personally it doesn't look right when it is all left-justified. I realize this would not work for the top two placements since they are all on one line anyway but you could make it exempt for those.

delizia, I've done what you're trying to do. Ask your rep to send you your campaign as a spreadsheet. Make all your edits on the spreadsheet using the replace command (e.g., example.co.uk to example.com, colour to color). Have your rep load it, and you're good to go.

Thanks cline!

I am afraid that I don't have a rep - probably I am not a big enough advertiser?

Some filtering features for mass google mailings definately needs to be put in place.

Last week with the change email Outlook became unhappy with Google. Finally got Outlook to like Google again, and now the new blog announcment has put everything from Google back into the spam filter.

I think Google needs to set up something so that an account can be associated with an MCC and not have an email address, or just use the default MCC address.

Could sure use an account auto-pause/resume feature in the event that my landing page servers go down... ad costs run into the hundreds quickly.

You can get servers monitored by a third party, but not so sure about third party management of my adwords pausing... as it happens, servers usually go down when you're hiking in the back woods or your cell phone battery is dead or you just got on a long flight, etc... and we advertisers do need a life - who wants to be tied to an internet connection 24/7?

Anyone - kindly inform me if this service is already available, even for a fee, or as a perk for a certain monthly spend. How do others handle this?

When using "Find and Edit Keywords" allow changes to bids or mass movements of keywords between campaigns and/or ad groups.

Or, at least in the interim - allow for a link to the ad group within the results for: "No changes right now. See results list" - which I'm forced to use if I don't want to change match type, remove the URL or delete the keyword.

A faster Search. We did some training today and we had to find something in an account. The three people who use adwords daily said, "do not search" and sought the paper reports to find it faster. This is so crazy when you consider what company does the search for us.

For me, I would appreciate not getting clicks from open proxies. Could Adword filters those out. Most of them are fraudulent anyway, so why not save the advertisers some money.

-Ability to sort sites by name and impr. in the choose-box @ /select/AddSitesSuggestion?wizardType=addSites

(helpful if you have a long list that you are reviewing and you want to add sites after reviewing them, it's hard to find them again)

-In /select/CreateAdInput an <enter> keyboard stroke (onKeydown) is triggered when you use your browser's (Firefox
1.05 in my case) autocomplete feature. When you select an item from your autocomplete dropdown, the form is submitted and renders errors since you are not yet done with the form. That's a bit irritating, it could be better to only have the onKeydown where it is needed (ie the last form field, or in this case, nowhere).

Later expiration dates on the tracking cookies. In many B2B markets the elapsed time between purchase research and making an inquiry or a sale is months.

-For Overture cross channel tracking; both user query (OVRAW) and match with keyword (OVKEY) reporting.
-This same feature for AdWords itself! (I guess most companies (like us) do that themselves with referrer tracking). Nice to consider anyway maybe.

Track revenue in addition to conversions.

You can do this now with the advanced tracking features. It'll pull a dynamic variable from a page (usually total sale amount) and fill it into the adwords system.

Ability to pull data reports.

At present, an 'action' (click, impression, variable) must be used in custom reports.

The ability for the reports to be able to run without that variable.

For instance, if I deselect keywords and select a campaign in the options, and then just click on destination URL, I should be able to just pull that report from AdWords instead of having to also click additional details (like clicks) that I'm going to delete immediately after download.

An "are you being stupid" delete message if you're deleting more than one campaign at a time.

I accidentially deleted my whole account this morning.

Hello,

It would be nice to be able to edit existing saved reports. Often I want the some complex report with just a different date range. It would be nice not to have to start from scratch each time.

I second Jim. Also: make email available after the report has been run (with html option!)

I tried to search for a "feature I'd like to see" so I wouldn't be posting a duplicate, but search isn't working right now, so here's one from me.

I'd like to be able to pause a key word. Reason is, if I have some kw like this:

keyphrase imp=2000 ctr=3.2%
"keyphrase" imp=4000 ctr=2.6%
[keyphrase] imp=12000 ctr=1.0%

I see the [keyphrase] is only performing at 1% but if it were by itself and only getting 1% that wouldn't be low enough for me to want to get rid of it. I would like to know if those 12000 impressions would have gone to the other two kw's if I get rid of the under acheiver. But I'd hate to delete it if my thought is incorrect.

Any ideas on this? Has it been covered elsewhere and I just don't see it (i think i bork search on this site all by myself :-P )

thanks,
-Dr.X

When targeting a ton of countries - the ability to sort or search within the list.

Right now it's a one-by-one process of a (partially) unalphabatized list.

Showing average position on the campaign summary screen - for whichever time period is selected.

Right now, it requires running an account daily report to simply see what the average position is for today, was for yesterday. Or, whichever time period.

Thanks, AWA.

Custom reports selecting Search Only for the results have Site Match data included. This should be changed so that Site Match data are not included and instead given as a separate selection.
