Another thing I have noticed is that google search and social media traffic is way down for me since thanksgiving.

Could the bad results so far this month for publishers be due to advertisers transitioning their campaigns from CPC to CPM although it's not live yet?

How many minutes did you set the vignette ads to? On 1, 2, 5 or 10? For me, the experiment chose '5 minutes' as the winner.

Apparently AdSense has already started the first steps towards implementation. For me, the proportion of CPM_bid sales was always just under 5% for years. Since October/November the proportion has risen continuously to around 14%. Can any of you confirm this? The relevant report is 'Bid Types'.

I can indeed, from Jan 1st till Jul 31st of 2023, my CPM Bids was 17%, in November it was 29% and so far in December it's at 33.5%.

My percentage of CPM bids has also increased, from 10% to 15% in October and November to 25% this month.

December sucks so far. Adsense isn’t looking too good.

One 3rd of my earnings so far this month is from CPM Bids, that has never ever happened before on any other month.

The RPM is terrible. I am 70% down compared to December last year

Seems like we’re all dealing with lows. One of the things that’s annoying me though is my Facebook reach drop. Now that’s what’s probably hurting me the most. I use to have consistent weeks with Facebook but now I’m seeing more bad days than good.

Maybe I’m hoping it’s just Facebook that’s down but in reality adsense is terrible right now especially my clicks. They’re down a lot.

Never seen a December so poor. Usually, it's the month where you earn the most from AdSense, but this time, the CPC is lower than usual

Having the same problems as you, Facebook traffic down and lack of clicks, my Page CTR is at 1.59 when it’s usually at around 4.

@allhearts The Facebook things is so weird because just a few months ago, I easily brought in a good 20k views from Facebook.

I only notice a huge drop since after American thanksgiving.

There is a long discussion about the drop in FaceBook organic reach, they changed something at FB earlier this year that many users reported starting in April. That traffic has not recovered, see more: [webmasterworld.com...]

December is bad. CPC is between $0.12 - $0.15 and RPM between $3.50 - $6.00

You can contact Google through your Adsense account. Although, I think it depends on how much traffic you have.

These past few months have been so weird. One day the numbers are very good. The next day they are down. The following day they are very good and the day after that, down. It seems like Google is doing a balancing act (occasional throttling) to distribute revenue.

October was pretty good for me, high RPM and CPC.
Right after the Halloween, my numbers dropped and we are now in December that I see really terrible numbers.
I have noticed low numbers since May until late September, but not that low.

I can’t even imagine what I will see on January.
My traffic is mainly US.

Low earnings here but being a Wednesday doesn't help at all (worst day of the week for me).
