Yes! Here we go again!

Not crazy about the user experience using Google's auto ads. Gave it another try and the ads were really messing with the user experience.

@Sissi Adsense approves every one of my new websites.

@ember, I 100% agree

When I thought things couldn't have been worse, rankings are down by 30%. Major ranking keywords that was holding 1st position for over 6 months is in page 2 all of a sudden. This is going crazy. Any one else seeing massive fluctuations in serps as well?

Ember, I agree. I just worry that consumer confidence is going to take many months to rebuild. Some US cities are reopening, but will customers patronize businesses if the virus is still out there? Will the early reopening make the pandemic worse? I think we may have to wait for a vaccine before there's a full recovery. JMHO.

There is a revenue cap for each publisher
You can see it in the morning and in the evening
This explains the clawback as well

I'm in a niche which has traditionally done well at this time of year. That niche is now devastated, traffic is way down, and the ads are now irrelevant. Earnings in the toilet.

What am I doing about it? I'm not sitting around moping about the poor figures. I'm planning for the up-tick, even if it's going to be slow and low. I've already started creating new content relevant to a post-covid-19 world, but have not yet released it. I'm not sure when i'll release it, but it'll be ready in a few weeks.

OMG. I have a few searches that I run as benchmarks to watch for specific search result positions. I ran it today and found about 40%-50%+% of the search result links in the first 3 pages of results leading to (literally) broken pages or to 404 pages or to pages that have nothing to do with the search term or to pages that redirect to 'adult' sites that have zero to do with the search phrase. The results were so bad that it looks like the part of the algorithm that is supposed to match the phrase to the results has been inverted to make sure the absolute worst results possible would be displayed. These results are so bad, it looks like sabotage. It could not possibly be worse than what I'm seeing now. I'm beyond shocked.

@Sissi, It does seem as though there is a revenue cap for each publisher. It’s almost as if Adsense looks at your site and says, this is how much you should make let’s keep it around that amount. I can’t imagine them doing this, but it sure does SEEM like it. Every time my website starts to takeoff in revenue, they say, oh no that’s enough for you.

RPM yesterday was promising, today almost cut in half. With a few visitors I would understand huge fluctuations but with 4K unique visitors a day it should be more stable.

As I’ve mentioned previously, a depression is coming and everyone will need to think differently about our industry. It’s going to be bad and this is just the beginning.

Unemployment surged to 14.7% in April, highest since Great Depression, as coronavirus triggered 20.5 million job losses

Well it's obviously not the greatest economy ever ;-) In Western Europe most people didn't lose their jobs so far. I'm lucky with my website that direct advertisers and affiliates are doing well but the left overs I fill with Adsense are performing bad.

Totally agree with you Gatormark that our websites are being limited ATM.

My earnings are back up from the bottom of the pit where we were last month at $30-$50 average. Starting to approach $100 now. But nowhere near the daily norm of $200-$300.

CPC for me is still down 2/3. Which is making up for the majority of the loss in revenue here.

But I am with ya on the thoughts that our sites are being limited, especially when we send large amounts of traffic.

Did someone turn the light off on Saturday. RPM slashed by 60% for all countries.

Wow... did anyone see this on his website?

There is an Auto-Ad placed at the bottom of my content asking the visitor "How satisfied are you with the experience of this homepage?"
You can then chose from "Frustrated" to "Very satisfied".

What the heck is google doing with this survey?

Has anyone experienced that?

My RPM has dropped from $ 3.5 to $ 1 since the beginning of May. And I was also seeing a satisfaction survey at the bottom of my site.

@ChokenBako - Sounds like a survey ad, not a google survey. Especially if it is referring to "this homepage" when it is not on your site's 'homepage'. I would think about a closer look - not clicking the ad but using the AdSense instructions to determine whose ad it is. Do you see the same ad from your Previews? Easy to check it from there.

I am using auto ads and Google puts a lot more ads on my website than I would. Don't you think that drives DOWN pricing?

AdSense has been absolutely awful of late. They just erased 50% of today's earnings. In two steps ~25% each with couple hour interval. It doesn't even look like invalid clicks, as the click count stays the same / goes up.

It did something similar yesterday and then gave back about 25% when day was finalized.

To me it just looks like they are stealing.

Google needs your money for their bottom line to drive the share price.

What can I do about Adsense ads loading slow. Some ads take like 5 seconds to load and are slowung down my pages. Anyone else having this problem?

Bizar is that Google is tellng me that my pages load to slow, and its clearly their own ads that are responsible for that.

Is slow loading a possible reason for low ad coverage? My US coverage dropped from 99% to 91 the last days.
