New month, nothing new with AdSense, though. Thank god the clawback is just 10 EUR for me this month. Turns out almost none of my traffic is invalid.

The outage fixed some of the changes that happened on May 24... and I'm getting ads again. There's a drop in revenue but still, a great improvement after 9 days of no revenue.

Edit: I emailed Google on Saturday once again in order for them to let me know how long would it take before the limits are lifted and I've just received the template reply that 'your ads are currently being limited while we inspect your traffic' thing, whereas apparently my ads are no longer being limited.

I've had to delete an ad - twice in the past few weeks - about "alzeimers", with a url leading to homedepot.com.

Very odd that a business as large as Home Depot is attached to a misleading ad.

Im getting an earnings at risk warning from google for nott having an ads.txt on my server.Wasnt aware this was compulsory.June 3 starts very promising though.

Okay, so it seems that other people are also seeing this warning about not having an ads.txt file. I have absolutely no idea what it is anyway

Yesterday I was hopeful with a bit higher CPM but today the CPM dropped about 30% in comparison with yesterday.

Publishers should be able to choose if they want revenue by CPC or CPM. With CPC competitive websites can show low quality ads and they won't lose much money but can hurt the website. With CPM it's always earnings.

Actually, after reading the instructions the ads.txt thing is very straightforward and only takes a couple of minutes to implement, should keep them happy.

For me, the Adsense pageviews didn't even reach 50% of what was reported by Analytics.

Yesterday:

Adsense about 90% impressions with 63% of the revenue;
Header bidding 10% impressions with 27% of the revenue.

It's totally clear that Adsense is outperformed by other networks only Adsense can fill it to almost 100%.

Warning for ads.txt missing has disappeared yesterday. On the Sites - Overview is a "Send feedback" button which I used to send message about this issue.

There is nothing odd about this, well when one knows what is going on. This isn't explained anywhere so from that perspective it seems strange. The higher tiered ad agencies have systems in place to prevent ads from showing when the ads are outside the targeted geographical area. In place of the ad that should show they serve a "public service announcement" typically an ad for a charity. The Alzheimer's Society is common, I also often see ads for the Red-Cross. There are some agencies that show an image of clouds and most recently I have seen an "ad" for IAS (Integral Ad Sciences: integralads.com/capabilities/brand-safety). The worst are those that simply show a blank ad space.

Rest assured, you are getting the switch-a-roo because you are viewing the ads in the Ad-Review so the ad is shown without respecting any of the targeting. The user's see the actual ads as intended.

This tends to be limited to big brands such as:
Best buy: Blank ads
Disney: Service Announcement
Home Depot: Service Announcement
Pottery Barn: Clouds
Honda: IAS ad.
Sea World: Service Announcement
Adobe: Clouds

Thanks for the detailed response and enlightenment. I was aware of the "clouds placeholder image", but I did not know charity and IAS placeholder images were being used the same way.

Just a little perspective: Yesterday I had 726 ad clicks. The same day last year I had only 588 ad clicks. Last year earned $38 MORE dollars with 138 FEWER ad clicks on the same website. Wow!
