February 2015 AdSense Earnings and Observations

January 2015 was not a great month for many.
February it's a short month.
On 2nd of February in US is the NFL Super Bowl and we all know that dreaded 14.02... :(

First day of February had a very low payment for me, the second seems to be worse.

Other than being on a Saturday when earnings are typically a bit lower, it's never really been a big issue for me.

There are a few other holidays in Canada in Feb but they shouldn't have much effect on earnings.

Presidents Day in the US is for appliance sales.

After the Superbowl, which may as well be a national holiday, then it is smooth sailing until Thanksgiving. Memorial Day and the 4th of July are bumps, but I love this long upcoming stretch with no Christmas and no football playoffs.

Toward the end of Jan my CPC and CTR were both increasing. I ended up down 20% compared to Dec '14. Feb is off to a good start here.

Traffic has been uniquely high for me today.
Way more than I expected on Superbowl Sunday and 71% of my traffic today is from the US.

All metrics normal EXCEPT for USA EPC, new record low on Sunday at 18.75% lower than previous record and only 0.01 higher than India's EPC!

UK's EPC normal at 254% higher, nah, there's nothing wrong.

We here in America like to have a holiday for every reason possible.

I think it's even worse in Canada. BC has even more paid holidays than the other provinces.
I guess it's great for labourers or commuters but not so much for home business.

Anyhow, it all started to look much brighter on our end, US has picked up, UK is right behind it, both Australia and Canada are on the same page and New Zeeland had a record number of massive clicks, but hey we are only at the beginning, I just hope that it will stick.

Same here, still seeing clawback I think, have not really watched it but went from a 0.60-1% cpc site to 0.11-0.15%

Compared to last Jan/Feb 2014 US EPC at 45%

Compared to Dec 2014 US EPC at 54.5%

Compared to first three weeks of Jan 2015 EPC at 60%

First two days February compared to UK my US EPC at 43.2%

Hong Kong, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Canada, Kuwait, all with higher EPCs.

After a record low CPC day yesterday, today is up like 900% in terms of CPC. This rollercoaster ride of prices is nuts.

From Google's latest news release:
Network paid clicks decreased approximately 11% over the fourth quarter of 2013 and decreased approximately 7% over the third quarter of 2014. Network cost-per-click increased approximately 6% over the fourth quarter of 2013 and increased approximately 10% over the third quarter of 2014.

In other words, the click rate is declining while the cost per click is increasing for partners as a whole.

Adsense "police" back in full force today. By 10am my earnings were more than the last 2 days. And almost 12 hours later, no a single additional click according to the AdSense reports. Obviously my great start to the day was quickly shutdown by the AdSense "police".

I was "easily" heading for my best day of 2015 and "BOOM", nothing more...I've been out for 5 hours and nothing but PVs have been added!

Plus Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia are outperforming all!

I woke up to 370 rpm and now it's at 76. No clicks for 12 hours.

It's less than weekend, lowest figured in the last year for a middle of the week day!
