February 2015 AdSense Earnings and Observations

January 2015 was not a great month for many.
February it's a short month.
On 2nd of February in US is the NFL Super Bowl and we all know that dreaded 14.02... :(

First day of February had a very low payment for me, the second seems to be worse.

ad stats on the adsense mobile app still work fine, though.

Once again US EPC underforming for me. In the past seven days five days have been below February average at 62% and compared to the first twelve days at 54.5%, meanwhile UK EPC was at 195.5% v US, yep, almost double.

Very, very frustrating.

Well, new earnings record for this year Thursday! :)

But.. yesterday and today very few new ads to review and approve...

Yeah, my RPM is way down, but then again, the first two months of year generally suck. I just keep focusing on traffic growth. My traffic is up 500% YoY as are my earnings. If AdSense earnings ever actually became an issue, I could look into other options (buysellads, etc.)

AdSense has it's ups and downs, but having used several alternatives it's still by far the best solution out there.

I feel very sorry for anyone who relies on Adsense for their livelihood. Rest assured, Google will win that battle.

barring the (high) possibility of google taking away my money at the end of the month, this is actually my best month so far.

yesterday was my highest adsense-grossing day ever, and today looks to beat that by a fair margin (all websites in my portfolio combined).

Thats ok, last month after 4-5 years of solid results big G decided 80% of my clicks are not valid anymore because potentially invalid traffic from foreign countries. Even after filtering out low performing geos the same crap is still happening.

Yesterday was pretty horrible; worst day in years. However, there were a bunch of clicks showed up early in the morning (before there was any traffic, actually) and I'm pretty sure those were late clicks from yesterday. Because today is going gangbusters.

Hmmm I'm noticing better results yesterday and today. CTR has really improved. CPC slowly coming back. But nothing like last year. This time I did nothing to my sites. Baffling.

That's amazing isn't it? Just how can this happen, if my AdSense is to be believed then hardly anyone in the USA or Canada clicks any ads when they're at home in the evening, not!

Friday ended up bang on average across the board, today I have so little traffic that new lows seem to be in the offing.

@RB - it's not just Adsense conversions that freeze, it's all converting traffic, ecom AND adsense.

CTR running at 50% today with BOTH mobile and tablet out-earning desktop!

Yep, the "honey week" is over, back to the pit :(
CPM/CPC/CTR are low.

So Saturday 14th was my worst day of the month at 35.8%, Saturday 21st was my second worst day of the month at 48.2% of average.

Tablets were my top earner and combined with mobiles made just over 60% of earnings. Desktop had its worst day of February at 30.7% of its average.

Whatever you say G, you ought to be running the economy, you'd soon get rid of any deficit!

Well I thought Sunday was rebounding a bit with some good US clicks but G took it all away. About sick of this and really thinking of ditching my 11 year old adsense account.

Crazy how my traffic has not changed and was earning mid $x,xxx for the last 4 years and then comes the new year and 80% of my clicks are not valid anymore...

February is turning out to be much better than January for me. Hopefully March will turn out even better.

My Feb RPM is about 150% of Jan but still much lower than that of December.

Me too. I switched my ads around, and took a drop for the better part of a week, finally with an unbelievable low on Thursday, but then had a way better than expected weekend, even yesterday.

Best I have seen in a long time.
Then with no changes and really good traffic,RPM went right in the toilet Monday morning.

Saturday was good. Sunday was great. No idea why, but I hope it continues.
