My worst month in 5 years. Adsense earnings down 60% - impressions down 50% - all after the Oct 14 minor Panda update.
Should this continue I expect this months earnings to be down 80% with a very similar loss in impressions.
The last couple of months I've seen nothing but ads for $100 in free Adwords. They sent me a card in the mail and I'm sure almost every publisher got one too. This would likely lead to a great influx of new ads, and those ads would be greatly devalued due to an increase in Adword accounts and inventory.
Is Google driving publishers to become Advertisers? It's a no win situation. My site is all content and I don't sell products so Adwords does nothing for me! I feel like Google is looking at me to see if I'm willing to start paying for traffic. That's a door I'm not going to open.
I love ya Google but like an unfaithful mate you've really let "us" down!
A couple of hundred dollars off last month's earnings, which brings my monthly increase streak (of 4 months in a row) to an end, but not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. A good start to November, though no idea if it will last.
Why can't google add a "last updated "time"" on our report pages? Some like that can't be that hard to add
Nobody knows for sure, but I suspect that not every element always updates in sync. From my own experience over the years, I don't think the impressions necessarily update the same time as the clicks or the earnings or vice versa, and I'm pretty sure some clicks take longer to verify than others. Plus now they're doing this 'real time' adjusting for invalid clicks.
September I got 36,000 clicks. Most money in adsense history. October I got 53,000 clicks. New most earnings in adsense history for me...but what the heck only made 8% more in earnings vs getting 45% more clicks.
Can someone explain to me what the heck happened here? How in the world can I deliver 45% more clicks but only earn 8%. That's like 15,000 difference in clicks man. 15,000!
