March 2011 AdSense Earnings

Perhaps a little early, but it's now into the 2nd day of March here in the UK soo... the March 2011 AdSense thread.

Yesterday I had a pretty good day. The rebound I seen at the end of Feb thankfully continued. Long may it continue!

Check your accounts guys

Yep, for me too...about another 60% in one go!

It's all those PIPs they've been processing:-)

Oh wow you guys aren't kidding... record low day of the year if I don't see any clickdump soon. Very low CTR.

I got a click dump too today. Earnings started slow but are ending strong.

Nope, no click dump, just a very pathetic day. Terrible CTR, weak EPC... worse eCPM in years. Adsense is not what it used to be for me, even with different varieties of sites, something's broken, people aren't clicking anymore, after a few months of this, gonna have to start looking elsewhere more and more.

Same here...

Yesterday (Thursday 24th) stats were stuck/slow for the majority of the day, was hoping for a click-dump when I woke this morning but alas no such joy - worst Thursday I've had in years.

Not happy.

No click dump so I'm back at 2007 levels.
When I first started.

Ended up better yesterday. Made some modifications though - two prime positions switched to text only and culled a lot of the 245 third party networks. Adding them back slowly as I check them out. Today's stats look completely lagged.

Regards...jmcc

Not for me, just yesterday sucked.

I've mostly been having good days recently, but yesterday was fairly laggy. Low CTR (half the norm), CPC was fine.

Friday's CTR was well below average for me. This month's overall earnings are fine however there have been some very strange low days considering the volume of Page Impressions etc.

Let me venture a simple stipulation here : it seems to me (from what is observed by me personally and by the majority of webmasters posting on forums) that Panda is causing a reduction of AdSense revenue for webmasters, and consequently for Google. This revenue reduction is reported as extensive, by webmasters. Reports to the contrary (AdSense revenue increases) are few and scarce. If this observation is correct, then it is my belief that we should expect a substantial correction to the current state of affairs, pretty soon. Been there, seen that before.

@heisje

Except you forget, Google isn't making less money overall, it's just the money has shifted from the losers to the new winners.

Also @heisje

The happy ones don't tend to report it, so it's too tough to gauge.

I'm down about 50% from daily average with about 3 hours left to earn any more.

Ah, there is no need for me to say those silly things so I edited.

Anyway, I know these coming months I'm gonna need a truckload of handkerchiefs to dry them tears. It's going to be hell with people away from their PCs and Google tweaking the algo.! I already bought a thick leather belt to chew on. Best of luck to you.

I don't think so : if webmaster reporting is anything to go by, statistically the shift is from sites with AdSense to sites without AdSense, and not a re-shuffle between AdSense carrying sites.

If this is true, as it seems to be, then a correction should not be far away.

One more parameter : the Google Affiliate Network. Things there have turned equally bad.

There is absolutely no chance for Google to ignore the performance of their income streams, even in the short run. They have been affected, and there will be a correction. As simple as that.

Well and truly stuck for me today, not even 25% of the way there with click volume and earnings yet Page Impressions are steaming ahead!

@heisje Let's hope! If not, I've got a promissing career as a fat stripper a head of me.
