March 2011 AdSense Earnings

8:32 am on Mar 2, 2011 (gmt 0)

Perhaps a little early, but it's now into the 2nd day of March here in the UK soo... the March 2011 AdSense thread.

Yesterday I had a pretty good day. The rebound I seen at the end of Feb thankfully continued. Long may it continue!
8:04 am on Mar 14, 2011 (gmt 0)

Sunday wasn't the best of days. Standard (or a bit above average) views or CPC, but CTR was 1-2% absolute points lower.

Ah well, my Saturday was above average with above-average CTR and CPC so it cancels out I guess.
11:18 am on Mar 14, 2011 (gmt 0)

Awful Sunday, MORE clicks than Saturday yet a massive -35% in EPC, almost the same volume of clicks as last Sunday but -23% in earnings...worst day since early February.

These swings are ridiculous, only Google and fanboys could justify them as being "normal".

Here we go again. Half way through the day and the Adsense hasn't even woken up yet.

For me today's EPC is absolutely diabolical again, 40% of normal, what the hell is going on?
2:41 pm on Mar 14, 2011 (gmt 0)

My EPC is 25% of normal. Weekend earnings around 30% of normal and this morning I have exactly a penny in earnings after 7 hours. WTF?

Way up over last March, mostly because of high EPC. CTR is actually lower.

Yet another low CTR day yesterday, and today just 1 low paying click, and still traffic is above normal...hmmmm.

Has anyone else noticed this?
When I check AdSense for the last 5 days (excluding today) I have x amount of $$$, and when I check those same 4 days in analytics (adjusting for the reporting delay) I shows about 1/3 less $$ and clicks then my adsense account does...which has been extremely down anyway. Anyone else?

Do you use link units?

AdSense reports in Analytics only track AdSense for content ad units, and do not include link units, search boxes, mobile ads, or any other AdSense products.

are you experiencing very long delay for clicks count today?
impressions count is normal, but almost no click so far.

I also see new adsense interface is changing time to time. sometimes, it shows more information about earnings at first page.(total, last month, this month, last check, next check etc. )

No, I never have...don't like them.

Hi
New here and a true newbie in the blogosphere. If there is a pamphlet called "Blogging for dummies", it's written for me. Well, for my question:

I started this blog a week ago and the first day after having been approved as Ad Sense user (terminology inaccurate, I'm sure) I had about 60 visitors, which generated x dollars. That day, I could follow the (modest) progress by the hours, almost. However, today, I 've had the same amount of visitors and yet, nothing shows in reports - it says that today's earnings is 0.00. Is this normal? I really don't know what to expect, so I'm happy to have found a fora, which seems to be comprehensible to a novis such as myself.

Chip72, your traffic is way too low to really expect to make any predictable amount per day through AdSense, so $0.00 is not uncommon with only 60 visitors.

I thought people had to wait 6 months now.

ASA ?

This may not apply when using blogger perhaps?

Anyway, stats haven't moved for over an hour...stuck, and earnings suck!

Personally, I think they ought to ban blogs from having adsense. They [people] pay nowt for it, and there's no need for experience.

Talk about a Monday of two halves, the first 12 hours average EPC reported were still 20% below average however the second 12 hours jumped 50% and I ended up with a normal day however the difference in EPC between channels was simply huge bearing in mind my widgets are all the same subject.

On my largest site the highest channel's EPC was literally 250% of the rest of that site...and it's only a photo gallery!

Well today I have an huge traffic spike due to Jayde adding one of my SEO tools to their iEntry news letter. Traffic is three times higher thus far, as well as CTR, but eCPM is staying low, so the ammounts are sad compared to clicks. This is the second time one of my tools was listed in an iEntry news letter. The first time the earnings were great, but now I'm averaging 0.10 a click (at leasst there are many).
5:43 pm on Mar 15, 2011 (gmt 0)

again my statcounter shows clicks but adsense report shows almost no click for today

Today's stats are abysmal, I hope it's a delay. The moment I seem to gradually recover I get hit with a crazy record low day. Late troubles with Adsense and now Panda... this is definitely my lowest point in the past 5-6 years as a publisher.

stats slow today?

My stats aren't slow but my biggest site is today however I can easily put that down to two major widget trade fairs at the same time, one in London and one in Las Vegas...well, that's my presumption and I'm sticking to it:-)

I'm still having an usual traffic spike, so I cannot complain, however I made 6 times more then what I'm making now the last time this happened...again I connot complain...today. When the traffic drops again, that'll be another story.
10:19 pm on Mar 16, 2011 (gmt 0)

I cannot complain today either. Traffic is down, but the money is up above my daily average with 8 1/2 hours to go. Although realistically, my site stops earning after 9pm, so make that 5 1/2 hours to go.
10:40 pm on Mar 16, 2011 (gmt 0)

Had a good March overall (thus far of course) but CTR has been down a bit the past 2-3 days, and today it's down a fair amount.

I can complain, I guess. Very slow today.

Bloody awful day (16th). Like the Adsense people left early for Saint Patrick's day.

Yep, my 16th continuted to be bad. My CTR must have got upset at something and thus ran away.
2:23 pm on Mar 17, 2011 (gmt 0)

Off to a bad start. several clicks at 4 cents. When it starts off like that, at the end of the day I wind up with pocket full of pennies and nickels that don't add up to much.
3:36 pm on Mar 17, 2011 (gmt 0)

Wednesday turned out a pleasantly normal day for me:-)
