Tigger

I am finding it really hard to bite my tongue at the moment.

When you see what has happened to Matts Blog and you have had the same thing happen to your site - and Google dont really discuss it - it is very depressing.

Homepage Canonical Problems are rife - I am 95% sure that is your problem Tigger.

But I know MC and GG are good guys and are probably sick and tired of hearing it and I am sick and tired of waiting for them to fix.

Soooooo. Sigh - time to move on from this update.

i'm in fan club ...

12 sites, only one is out of fan club.

large sites UP UP UP.

4 sites in english, out of fan club is the only one is on a shared ip in a US hosting.

The others are in portuguese, diferent rules, few competitors, less visitors but many #1 and #2 for main keywords.Even one i change hosting from US to European hosting on 27 Set have several #1 for main keywords. Any of them lose many visitors in jagger, one day or two.

Except...... one

66.102.9.104 is hilarious for some (not all) searches. Subdomain and title tag spamming are being rewarded it seems. I also did a spam report for a site with more than 2 million pages in the index. On every single page there's keyword stuffing between noframes tags. Note that the site doesn't even use frames at all! On 66.102.9.104, these pages rank even higher than before.

Come on Google, is it so hard to detect and filter these kind of things?

I'm not complaining about our own rankings though. Some went up, some went down.

Hi Dayo,

lol ... Good point about NCFC, but I still think they're a little bit more relevant than our local Railway company, I might call them up and see if I can rent their front page from them ... probably be really late in getting back to me ;-)

Dayo_UK

I recall both GG and Matt saying something to the effect that folks with canonical issues can file reports at the end of Jagger3.

Where there is a will there is a way :-)

Me too Dayo_uk, I've cleaned down my whole server today. All of the originally built and maintained templates, images, forms & legal documents that I've spent years building up are being replaced with a much more easy to maintain site, with very little free content. I hope that removing my 2500 pages of individual content makes G splutter trying to sort out the dead links.

This update was really bad for us. I thought we had a great site, I must have been mistaken. I am still confused how similar weighted keywords from my site can result in such random listings from top ten to 50th page.

I hope the update was great for everyone else.
