AdSense stats delay & the lingering after effects

Anyone else seeing this?

My AdSense stats have been delayed for the last seven hours or so. I’ve had this happen before, come 12 am Google time the stats updated.

Like everyone, mine is delayed as well...

But more importantly, I noticed that my stats were delayed by about 1-2 hours last night and the revenue never seemed to recover today

Basically, it seems like I lost out on 1-2 hours of revenue last night.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Hey, did anyone who has adwords too has notices that even Adwords stats are not beign updated?

It just saw my adwords to see my stats and they were the same i saw abotu 6 hours ago.

My stats have been delayed several hours, and I'm noticing Adsense isn't even displaying 9 times out of 10 on my sites. Grumble, grumble, hope I'm making some money at least.

Teshka... the ads themselves seem to be appearing fine here... i have a click tracker, and behavior is completely normal (impressions, clicks etc.). for my sites at least, the only issue seems to be a reporting one, not ad-serving.

Google has decided to put a wrench into programs that check earnings, heck they don't like software that waste bandwidth and puter space for rankings let alone for earnings....

the most surprising thing to me, is not that the stats are down, but that google does not put a little message at the top of the report page. imagine all the publishers that don't know about WW, for example. can you imagine how much panic there is out there? google could alleviate all of it with a little snippet of html at the top of a page.

elsewhen you are right. I think the message can be useful. Google closed yesterdays stats with -30% of impressions as it usualy was. I wonder if they will update the numbers later or there was a total fault of the system and numbers were lost.

any one reported to Google about this. Now 1 pm in india. the google report has changed to the next day, but previous day reports not updated yet.

My guess is, Google is trying to apply its new site targeting, there should be some clash between the reports , so they stopped the report update, the reason behing my guess is, i placed 2 different ad formats, until 10 hours back only 1 ad format displayed ads which is also irrelevant , but now both the 2 ad formats showing relevant ads with maximum ads.

is anyone watched it in your web sites.

I almost got hard attack when I saw that i did not earn a cent for whole night (Europe).

According to Adwords forum - we indeed can lose
earnig for this time - it was already hapenning before.

Let's wait
But it is looks like calm before BIG storm.
And it is looks like they starting this new crap about
CPM and site targeting.

if google was doing any changes, i guess they wud have mentioned a note on the adsense website.

I dont think its due to cpm and site targetting stuff because adwords stats are also not updating.

when they add site targeting, adwords will also have to be changed. they will likely need a couple additional columns for advertisers to track their CPM campaigns.

addign coloumns will not require stats to be stopped. It may require pages to be stopped or updated. The pages and the site is working.

This is most probably a downtime and a problem at google's end. All i hope is that the data does not get lost.

Just woke up and checked my Stats. Almost cried in panic when I saw nobody clicked on my ads. Wait, nobody even opened my pages!

Then I remembered this great site called webmasterworld.com where people who are too afraid to ask G get answers, or at least meet other people with the same problem, so they can all whine together.

And once more, I was enlightened. Thank you all for this website, the greatest stress-relieving invention of mankind.
