How much time should elapse before reporting to google your check was lost or stolen in the mail? Check was mailed on the 21est, everyone who is in my area got their checks more then a couple days ago. General rule of thumb on the time that should go by before doing this?

Contact the AdSense Team - they have a specific date for each check mailing if you haven't received your payment. Checks are not neccessarily mailed all on the same day, so chances are good it will arrive within the week, even if others have received yours within the past few days.

I haven't received mine in CA either.

I always assumed that despite the labeling, the date in the reporting tool was actually the date payments were approved or checks were cut. Actual mailing date would be sometime after.

I know many others have received theirs already, including me in Canada. Last month there were differences of up to a week (might have been even longer) between the mailing dates of publishers checks when compared to other publishers. I would consider it mailed by the 30th, and base any guestimate as if it was mailed in NYC on that date, then figure how long it would take to arrive at your own destination from there.

If the second week of February arrives and you haven't received it in the US, perhaps start to worry then. But it is definitely premature to be worrying about the fact you haven't received a check yet.

Arrived here in Germany yesterday.

cheque printed 26th Jan, and the post stamp shows it was posted on the 27th Jan, arrived in Germany on the 30th Jan.

Has anybody in the US received their check. If so did it come with a 1099. That could be the delay in getting them to US publishers

Got cheque 2 days ago in NYC area ... mine didn't came with a 1099 .. just the pay-stub, but my case could be a little different because it was my firt on, I joined AS in Dec/04.

Cheque printed 01/23 arrived 01/29.

I also got mine in British Columbia, Canada (west coast) on either Thursday or Friday. And I received it well before the rest of the US which is unusual. I usually receive mine about a week after the US publishers report receiving theirs. Mine was postmarked the 26th.

I'm new to AdSense and they said they sent a check on Jan. 21st 2004, When should I expect to receive it, I live in Montreal, QC, Canada.

Hi Daemon,

The actual posting of the check is usually within 5 days of the actual "mailed on" date (we assume that this is a clerical thing, in which they process the batch, and then give to somebody to drop off at the post office on their way home :) )

Then, factor in the time that letters take from the US to Canada. I would imagine around Tuesday or Wed.

Don't spend it all at once!

Personally, I think there would be less confusion if Google's statements were worded a little more carefully. Instead of saying "Payment sent" on January 21, they could perhaps say "Payment processed and will be sent soon."
