66.102.9.104 might be close to new SERP but the jagger3 fix was not implemented there for sure.
Plenty of suplemental and canonical issues there.

No, i dont think so. WWW is a subdomain, too, and will be also listed when checking site:domain.com. I guess in your special case (i am sure its not domain.com, right?;)) there never exist a canonical problem.

Geez.

Don't visit for a couple of months and look what happens! ;)

Can't access J1 thread, so hope I'm not repeating.

Dunno which data centre we call from downunder, but FYI, some of my competitors, who indulged in "circular" reciprocal link/farm pages are nowhere. Gone. Disappeared from view. Stopped looking after they still didn't turn up at results #70-80, when previously they dominated the top 10.

And I'm no expert, but from here it also looks like G. is filtering offshore hosting. A "pages from Australia" search returns domains I know are hosted on local servers (regardless of the TLD, 2tld).

So, looks to me like, if you indulge in circular reciprocal/link farm AND you host offshore, you can wave goodbye to your local rank results.

A few of my results have dropped out of top 10-20, but on the other hand, a number of pages on our primary portal web site, have rocketed up in both full web *and* Australia only results, some up to #1, from top 20 and lower rankings.

So as you can imagine, at this stage, I'm not complaining, but I'm keeping an eye on it.

Figured G. was gonna move on link based page rank/results at some stage, just surprised it took them this long.

Any care to speculate on whether PR will change again with Jagger 3?

I donīt think so. Because PR and backlinks have just been updated during Jagger1.

I'm in oz too but our site is hosted in the US so maybe thats why we have lost a traffic? Don't go in for recip linking though, honest. I think maybe google uses a "thesauras" now which I actually think is quite smart. Perhaps you need words meaning basically the same thing to rank for any search on any of the related words and if you only mention the one word forgret it Just a theory from what I'm observing. Also renewed my domain name for 5 years and read that patent application through.

Great, i lost 40% traffic from google. No more interest in updating the site. I'll give it one more week, and if this continues, i might think of buying traffic. Afterall, maybe thats what google wants us all to do. Adwords.

In this [66.102.9.104...] datacentre I believe that Overtly SEOed (not spam) sites are given a boot to the second page.

like a keyword which had its official site as #1 is now # 3, Plently of forums and scrappers still coming in results specially for 2-3 word phrases.

On part of google (we are losing some - a bit of traffic) but I think going down with the SEOed sites is a good idea of increasing relevancy on part of google and returning the internet to its original idea

The great leveller ....as I always felt the internet was.

Will GoogleGuy please confirm if still more changes are in store after this update (is this Jagger 3 or not and if so is there a Jagger 4 in pipeline)

BTW who names these updates:)

Comments

How I wish scrapper sites get the boot of google and adsense both....

Thanks,

Just wondering because I had read in the forum somewhere that it might change when google works of the cannonical issue, if the pr was split between non www and www sites. Apparently, I like a lot of people have this problem as I see both when I do the site:mydomain.com

One other thing, I just the McDar Datacenter quickcheck tool to check for # of pages indexed on the 64.* datacenter banks and it now shows zero pages indexed for my domain had been showing somewhere in the area of 1000 pages, but I am still coming up well on a search for my main keywords or phrases so this is confusing to me...ideas...thoughts?
