A few of my sites have jumped in page rank a couple of notches. Will this cause an impending update? :>~

Because the timezone.

The toolbar Page Rank is not real time, so Google is likely already using this.

Yes. The backlinks too on these DCs are updated.

Some notable observations:

1. Overall downward PR scale correction.

2. Dmoz has shed a PR point.

3. Bluefind is now a PR0.

4. Backlinks of age more than 3 months or so are counted for PR transfer. (Guestimate. Someone please confirm.)

Dmoz hasn't shed a point, still PR9.

Cutoff date seems to be after March 26th but before April 1st, which is much longer ago than the last three or so updates where pages a bit over a week old got PR.

DMOZ shows 8 on my browser. Bluefind is still at 8 though for me?

My site is so new i'm sure I'll wait this one out. :(

I agree on all. On number 4, I think we see the benifits of the higher PR in the serps, but the little green bar will not reflect those links until August, maybe.

The update hasn't moved to all datacenters yet.

Dmoz has increased significantly this time. Many inner categories show a point increase. (btw, dmoz.org is the main URL, not www.dmoz.org -- non-www shows 400k+ backlinks, www shows 70k)

Yahoo Directory PR is a jumbly mess given the introduction of inconsistent linking a couple months ago.

Sweet! I got a two and a half month old site that's going from PR 0 to PR 6!!!!!!!!

it seems my blog goes from pr0 to pr6. Even don't know why... Didn't try to get links at all.
But my sites with 80% traffic drop still remains dropped. Even with tens of thousands links.
Anyone who dropped in march 23 sees better results now?

ugnius we were affected by the 22/23 March change in SERPS.

However I can see a one point PR increase on some of our internal pages.

My month old site has a Pr of 4 but one of my older sites has dropped from 4 to 3

It seems that over all trend it a bit increase in the no. of backlinks required to have the same Pr as earlier ..

looking good so far on the majority of my sites - have one gone from 0 to 6 also as well as a few that have crept up and one that finally went to 7. Will wait to see where it all settles though before cracking any Champaign - after all PR doesn't seem to impact traffic - just means I can charge a bit more for advertising :-)

yesss! We've regained PR for many articles on out site. Lost them all after renaming all urls and allegra (we changed urls exactly 24 hours before allegra).

We got one PR down for few of our sites.
But strangely few of the sites has good PR on inner pages as compared to home page. And couple of 3 months sites don't have PR as yet.

We still do have some inner pages with PR 0. Others have PR 2 or 3. Maybe the update has not settled yet. Or maybe there is still some dup content penalty on some pages.

Yeah - Steveb is about right on the cutoff date.

This is true for my sites where the 301 redirect from non-www to www is now showing as one url.

I have not been watching Googlebot activities as much until recently. Am I still right that after a PR update Googlebot activity tends to go through the roof?

what's the point of PR update that all you guys waiting like an Easter Egg,all your job is to add links and links ,if you have an Authority site ,any page (or hundreds and thousands)you publish after 2-4 days is on top ten of the targeted topic with a 0 PR.So what's the point.

I would like to add that PR update is something that applies to SEO companies ( I imagine after the long wait now they can go to there client and say..Look your Page i made it PR6,7 or what ever,the point is though you have a PR6 7 8 what is your position at the SERPS.If i was a client hiring a SEO ,I should pay if brings my site at the top 10 not at the +5 PR

I agree that PR updates nowadays mean less. But for me it is much more interesting that a couple of my homepages now have the same page rank and backlinks for the non-www and www.

artdeco: Thank you for your valuable advice. However it is a big pleasure for me to see my pageranks again. Most of us know about the importance (or non-importance) of PR.

But after loosing all pagerank it is nice to see them back. I'm happy with that since my site obviously isn't banned completely from Google.

Bluefind.com might have shed its mighty PR, but it seems its reputation is stll alive, since its being discussed with DMOZ.

Google PR has gone totally useless. But 0 PR to Bluefind shows stupidness of Google.

I see an increase in PR by one notch too but what is the point of having higher PR when the traffic is down so badly.

I am seeing the scrapper sites booming with first page listing and I am getting outranked by a competitor with 2 similiar sites.

Somehow I got a feeling that PR now is just an indication of last update's ranking.

One of my newer sites (<4 months old) went from PR0 to PR5 thanks largely to press coverage.

One of my established sites (> 5 years) went from PR5 to PR4 - have to get working on that.

The rest of my sites seem to be the same.
