A complete unmitigated disaster for me. All but one of my sites are down considerably. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

My other site has been in the DMOZ for like 2 months now. This site not only isn't in the Google directory yet, the DMOZ listing also isn't showing up using link:www.mysite.com. This DMOZ page has a PR of 5. My other site is listed in that same DMOZ category, and I see the DMOZ listings in the backlinks for them. Google is way behind on directory updates.

Same thing for me: did some SEO work making sure I wasn't spamming but most of my KW went down in the SERP.

Well, I like it. Yes, concur that page titles are BIG. Have noticed that there are very few front page (page one SERP) sites that do not have an ODP listing. Not dropping DMOZ just yet then. Mat

The Toolbar search gives me direct www2 results but shows www on top.

I don't think so, rfgdxm1. Two of my major sites have dropped completely off the SERPs. Formally occupying the number one position in Google, and now nowhere to be found. One was www.keyword1-keyword2.com, the other was www.keyword1.com

Yet one of the sites has stuck in it's number 3 postion, a spot it's held for quite awhile now..

Go figure.

This update needs some fixing.

I am seeing a Japanese page in full Japanes turn up top three for a dutch keyword.

The www2 is in heavy flux. The Jap serps have been zapped out again.

for .com I'm getting a SERPS that looks almost entirely based on link pop...not very good at all from either Google's POV or mine...still, there is a long way to go yet

However, Google seems to have updated the Yahoo directory. I've been in that for over 2 months, and *finally* on this update my main site on a link: check is showing my Yahoo! directory listing. Needless to say good for me, as any new inbound link with decent PR can't hurt.

Excellent so far... spam sites fading away... much better update than those last two.

But boy oh boy I still don't get that google directory. In page rank order I'm listed behind a few sites who have 1/5th the links I do, and I have every link that they do. Pagerank drives me to drink.

2 of our sites are GONE and one more has gone from #1 to #14

All of them were keyword1-keyword2.com

I also noticed the same for one competitor site

For me Spam competitor sites are ranking higher than before and I have dropped for no explicable reason on some kw's, but gained on others. My faith is being tested :-(

sw8296 I have change directory this update and my site is not listed in the ex driectory, but I www3 my site has a directory listing but it does not show when I push the link and also not in ex directory, but I know it will show up later in the update.

Still early in the dance, and I could very well drop back. One other possibility is that this has something to do with my Yahoo! directory listing showing up in the backlinks. Although, it so happens that it is my *other* main keyword that is in the anchor text in the Yahoo! directory listing, not the one I hit #1 for. So far I dropped one place, from #5 to #6 on that keyword.

I have a lot of offtopic results, without the keyword in any place, without backward links, russian results for spanish keywords. Fully caotic results.

I think this will need some fix too.

I am seeing totally different results depending on which proxy I use.

Its still dancing guys - too early to jump to any conclusions as we are not all seeing the same results.

Hi folks,

i need an expert opinion on a strange thing that happens to one of my domains:

i did a site:foobar.dom foobar and got SERP:
ca. 300 hits, but it shows only 1 result which has nothing to do with me :-?

is it possible that i got kicked? or will domains that are listed in that form still be updated?

means: if the domain is not in the update now, could it still appear?

If you are listed in the www2 and 3 does that mean that you will be listed in the www for sure? If not, exactly what is www2 and 3 for?

Almost certainly yes. The first appearance of a new site is usually on www2 and www3 at the beginning of the dance. The time to panic is if a site in before disappears from www2 and www3. That happened to me one month. :(

If anyone has time during the update please answer some of these questions

1. Which www should I be looking at www www2 www3?
i.e have number 17 in www and number 1 in www2,www3 which is going to be my finale position?

2. Can anything I change now effect my positons?

3. When does PR change?

4. how long does this dance last for?

5. should I be looking at my links in www www2 www3 again which is likely to be the finale number?
