If you do the same search with hotels miami, results between AOL and google are the same. Any explanation ?
Same problem here. However, AOL.co.uk does show google

Appears to be somewhat strange yes, They should have a <br> between the title and the description, i donīt like reading text that long.

Not only are none of my .co.uk's showing but my .com's that are uk hosted are not there either.

Its looking pretty buggy..... I had a URL leading to "2000:url=aol:"
Also note that it is not "powered by google" it is "enhanced" ;)

Wow, my sites are missing.
I hope this is not the final product. Looks close the directory results I get form Yahoo.

AOL.CO.UK went over to Google about a month ago ( or so ).. AOL.COM is presently returning Inktomi and Google....

notice that it says "enhanced by google" not powered by google, are they using there own database of sites? Are they using DMOZ? I think this is the directory search...

These listings are administered, sorted and maintained by Google (AOL's search partner). [dirweb01.search.aol.com...]
I would guess that they are using Google's ranking, but they're own result set. Still seeing Inktomi on the main search...

All my sites are hosted in Canada.
I have several .ca sites and many .com sites. All missing. So that means British and Canadian sites are missing. Maybe they are prejudiced against the British Commonwealth.

Yes, a hell of a lot of sites are missing, and it's not just suffix based. Could be host dependent?
First poll and these changes (perhaps not surprisingly) reduce the quality of the serps significantly. It will be interesting to see what they actually put live from this lot.

Yep it looks like they are filtering the sites that are hosted outside the U.S.
I just did some back checks on the missing sites I noticed and they are hosted in Canada.

Yes, same here. My US based sites are OK, the rest are out.

The ".uk.com" (sub)domain is being handled differently.
We have one customer who bought one of these before he came to us.
Google UK - with 'uk only' filter sees his site. Aol - with 'uk only' filter ignores him.
Pah!

I'm with olias this is major league worrying. AOL seem to have taken the view that .com is US only rather than worldwide.
I hope this is not a trend that will continue.

I do not see changes on AOL Usa, but I see a lot of changes on Netscape.
"Featuring results from Google"
Is it a joke? There is nothing similar to Google results.

Well, it's clearly a beta. I don't think it's anything to get jacked up about yet.
