Haha I really meant in terms of the number of entries, Google falls far short in this area. What I have come up with thus far:

Sex - Results 1 - 10 of about 44,000,000.
News - Results 1 - 10 of about 185,000,000.
web - Results 1 - 10 of about 186,000,000

Any advances?

we really arent going anywhere with this, until we define what is meant by "competitive"

is it:

a, the most number of results returned?
b, the most competitive word targeted by SEOs.?
c, the most profitable?

as I have previously stated, there are a number of words where I would gladly pay $10,000 a month to be on page 1 listing, with NO, repeat NO tricks being played, and the site passing a hand edit by a Google editor.
