Just out of interest can somebody tell me what the single most competitive keyword is on Google?

Ok - I know others have posted 'the' as an answer - but how does this work?

Searched the web for the

Results 1 - 10 of about 3,420,000,000. Search took 0.17 seconds

So there are more pages in Google with the word 'the' than there are pages indexed by Google? LOL

Most common word... or most competitive single keyword-- big difference. "Most competitive" could be defined as the toughest keyword to get the #1 ranking with or even on the top 10, first page.

I'd say that would be:

"Google"
or
"Adobe"

I'd like to see anyone beat out any of Adobe Worldwide's sites and get in the top 10 or even top 20
