My site disappeared from the serps yesterday. I see others today. Is this a glitch with their RSS handling?
There has to be a problem with their RSS handling right now, and I am surpised no one else has commented.
As a test, do any random search, you will likely not see a single RSS feed listed in the serps. Furthermore, the sites that normally do have RSS feeds are not even listed (at least the sites that have previously been recognized by Yahoo as having a feed with the aforementioned "add to my yahoo" link by it's listing). Absolutely incredible.
However, the actual rss pages are appearing in the results and I am still seeing the main pages in the index.
As an afterthought, when my sites came back up to #18 in mid April, I changed my RSS feed title to a "better phrase/keyword density" and noticed that I went up to #10 3 days later. I have no idea if this change really affected my position but at least I can sleep tonight knowing I'm not the only one being yo-yoed.
I stopped using their service Thursday, and my rankings crashed on Friday (in Yahoo). Could the two be related as Yahoo reindexes my RSS feed?
Trying to figure out what happened. Does not appear to be a complete ban as all internal pages are still indexed, but the homepage dropped to position 60 for it's own name.
Found my site bumped down to 20 again. Was at 22 early April, then corrected a bunch of stuff (missing alt tags, adjusted keyword density etc), was climbing and reached 10. Then, Saturday, got bumped down.
My site is clean, all legit (can't afford to take risks with black hat SEO). One small thing I did change was my meta description tag on Thursday. I wonder if this can have such a drastic effect on my position.
Another thing I noticed is that the description on Yahoo! seemed to show an earlier cache, and the "View as XML" link below the Yahoo! description has been replaced with a "cached" link. Can anyone explain? Is it a temporary thing?
Do you have an RSS feed on your site? Does your listing in the yahoo serps normally have a "view as xml" and "add to my yahoo" link? I dont see a single RSS site listed right now. It seems that there is a problem with their listing of webpages that contain RSS feeds. Pages that have RSS feeds and were once listed in the serps with the "add to my yahoo" link are now MIA.

I get the impression from past Yahoo Update threads that thing are fluid for a while and it takes time to settle down to your true position, as if there are filters and adjustments that have to applied.
Two sites had significant improvements in SERPs on the 22nd; now they both are back to the previous positions.
I also think (hope) that it takes some time for new results to settle.
yes... the first time my site got kicked down in early april, it was my fault : I modified my xml file and did not notice that my feed wasn't working. After that, I also noticed my "View as XML" and "Add to myYahoo!" links were missing.
same thing here again... and yes, you're right! I was so preoccupied with my site getting booted down to page 3 that I didn't notice that ALL OTHER SITES with RSS feeds are now MIA for my key words.
if this is the problem, then OK... I don't feel like I'm the only one floating in the Arctic Ocean.
However, I have seen this type of entry in their listing but on very odd yahoo dc's (ie yahoo.uk and in their site explorer tool, etc). I really hope they fix this, as the new title does not sell the site like the old one - AND - as a YPN publisher, Y! as a whole would benefit from fixing this. Please help yahoo sarah or tim mayer :)
"Different City Widgets" and "Yet Another City Widgets" seemed to hold their rank.
I'm guessing it's a snag and that my "City Widgets" page will return.
Anyone else notice something similar? One page disappears in SERPs for its term, but similar pages are ranking just fine for their intended keywords.
What gives?
Is your site completely out of the serps, or just missing the "add to my yahoo" and "view as xml" links?
I know of three sites that have been in the top 10 for months, that have feeds (recognized by yahoo with the enhanced listing) that are now gone. Further, I do not see a single listing with "view as XML" listing enhancements. Search for any term and you will see what I mean.

I would also like to mention that my site is not even listed for the trademarked name of my website.

But more importantly, the site is missing from the serps altogether.
That is what I am observing. Site: search shows ALL pages of my site. But, the homepage has been devalued to the point that it is not even in the top 100 for it's unique name. Again, I am seeing this for many pages (homepages) which once had enhanced RSS listings in the Yahoo serps.
The fact that Brett has put this out on the index page will hopefully draw some attention to it.
My site is still listed at #22 (sigh) from #5 four days ago. If it's like the last time, it will take approximately 10 days before we see our sites climbing back up again - not restored to their highest before the glitch mind you. We'll find ourselves having to climb back up again.
C'mon Yahoo! what gives? Do we gotta go thru this cycle every month? Groaaaan!

Edited: andrewshim, I am sorry, I just remembered your earlier post, and saw your sticky mail. Sounds like we are in the same boat.
If Yahoo has intentinally removed the listing enhancements, what remains inexplicable is why some pages that once had the enhancements have disappeared from the serps all together.
I don't quite understand what people say is happening.
Does each page in your site have a corresponding RSS feed. And Yahoo is not listing it properly because of some internal Yahoo problem.
In this situation could Yahoo have been crawling the RSS feed instead of the page itself? Does it index both? Or, does it just pick up the RSS link and place it in the serps?

What has happened here is, for the sites that Yahoo did this, Yahoo has now droped those sites (not just the link display, the whole site) from the search results.
