I just noticed that Yahoo changed the SERP page and now they are not even telling users that results are being provided by Google. In addition, now there is also a link, where user can see results only from the directory (but it seems like PR still plays big role).

Is everyone seeing the same, or it is only me?

Thanks for the sticky jatar. I find it very odd that our results for the first ten on Yahoo.com don't match.

On the positive side, my site is getting lots of hits from Yahoo - more than usual today. Perhaps I am best off just the way things are. If every one but me, can find me on Yahoo, that's ok with me.

heini. I didn't answer your question right away because i needed to learn a little about search strings before making a public fool of myself. That's what I love about this forum - every day is a valuable education.

This is what I have on my address bar while getting the odd yahoo results. (I replaced the actual location term)

[search.yahoo.com...]

Does this indicate that I have an ususual setting switched on?

Nope, Skier, that's what it looks like for all folks.
The setting of the language is rather a factor with Google. So what I was aiming at was if perhaps the Google results you are seeing are different than what other folks are seeing. So that the Yahoo results you were seeing were the same as everyones, but your Google results were off.
Confusing, eh? ;)
The reason why I was asking is that on some travel searches like the one you described there are huge differences in Google depending on that language setting part in the search string.

Anyway, this is pretty sidetracking. From what you and Jatar have found out I believe this is a different thing.

Seems to be rather Yahoo related than Google related.
