217.144.236.4 - - [27/Jan/2005:01:18:01 -0500] "GET /robots.txt HTTP/1.0" 403 - "-" "Vespa Crawler 3.9"

Apparently this is some sort of Norwegian-Yahoo concoction? Already had the IP/range banned for some other critically-important reason that I've long since forgotten, hence the ubiquitous 403.

Couldn't find anything relevant in Google. But doesn't "3.9" seem like an awfully low score from the Hungarian judge? :)

I know Overture purchased the Fast internet search unit awhile back, and was since purchased by Yahoo, but does that mean Yahoo owns Fast Search & Transfer ASA (or did they just purchase a portion of their business)? Fast Search & Transfer ASA appears to only be in the business of enterprise search solutions (non-internet).

Wouldn't that make the Vespa Crawler non-Yahoo related?
