Successful Site in 12 months... [webmasterworld.com]
Building a website is the easy part...getting the word out is much harder.
And writing the first chapter of a book is the easy part....Writing the rest of the book is much harder. It's the same thing with a Web site. Many people start Web sites, but most sites languish after the initial work is done.
Im getting burned out and im finishing high school...when you get older it sounds easy to be young but you'd be suprised how tiresome it is......

i think i don't understand. we were all young at some point and we know what it's like.
I have been working on my website for about 2 weeks. I earn under a dollar a day
boy, this is no easy fluffy get rich quick thing. if you think you are burned out after two weeks work, then go find another hobby. for most of us it took years of hard work every day to be successful. people tend to massively underestimate the job.
LOL! I wish I could do that!
My day M-S:
8:30am-4:30pm Work on site - Take care of kids
6:00pm-10:00pm Work on site - Take care of kids
1:00am-4:30am Work on site - Heavy writing (because I don't have to take care of the kids - thanking the dear lord they get tired!)
Try my schedule for a while and see what real burnout feels like!
I'm sort of in the same boat as you. After two weeks, I bet you're not even listed on Google yet (I'm not). I have two links that link to me in Google search (just blog pingers); however, I am not yet indexed.
I can't even get anyone to link to me -- most presumably because of my lack of search engine rank (and listing for that matter). But you know what? Eventually I'll get listed -- as will you. If your content is good, people will be willing to link with you. If you get really good -- people will ASK YOU if you'll link.
Really though, if you enjoy it, don't give up. Ever. I'm not -- so maybe these words will let you're know you're not alone.
Warmest Regards,
The Linkless, AdSense Clickless Hobo
They may have been doing this for years and have mastered enough content, links, seo, to be there. They have earned the right to rank.
Two weeks is really no time at all....it's just a baby site, just born ;)!
Give your baby time to grow, take care of it and read ALOT! Don't be so quick to give up, you can't fail unless you quit.
