I have been working on my website for about 2 weeks. I earn under a dollar a day, (if im lucky enough to earn any money) and dont recieve much traffic to my site. I have used free submitters to submit my site to google, yahoo, aol, msn, ect, and my site is in the directory, but it doesnt appear in any of the top 10 pages. I want to know how long it usually takes to start earning about 5 dollars a day or so, because i spend about 10 hours a day adding new features to my site, and so far it hasn't paid off. If anyone has any advertising tips (free ones), or any advice. I have changed the links to match my site already, though, however still no one clicks on them. I want to increase traffic to my site, and increase the number of "clicks."

Burned out at 19, and "Haven't been in this for a decade"
OMG, I don't mean to be rude, but....

Please. You don't even have a concept of what "burnout" is.

Come back here when you're forty and share with me a laugh at yourself. :D

I said "starting" to feel burned out, not actually completely burned out yet. Besides, I can't see how you judged me enough by my one post to automatically assume how I don't have a concept of what "burnout" is.

Getting back on topic, while two weeks is a short time, you do seem to have a desire and a will to turn your website into a success however be warned, do not put all your eggs in one basket. Diversify. Do not rely or depend on AdSense. I honestly can't understand the logic of some people on this forum who quit their "real job" they've been working at for years for a program that's been around a couple of years. But eh, what do I know? Crazy freshman college kid me.

I don't understand people quitting their full-time jobs for adsense either. If adsense goes under, what will they do?
