Hi

I just have my own site lately and starting to get ranking in SERP but still not in a good position. And I noticed that most of the sites out there are using .htm as the surname of their page instead of .asp such as...

Example.. www.green-widget.com/small-size.htm

But for my site, I use...

www.green-widget.com/small-size.asp

So, I just wondering that what's the difference between these two and will it effect for spider to craw on my site.

Is .htm more spider friendly than .asp? I know that some might think that this is such a baby question but since I'm quite new to this stuff so I just want some good answer from professional like you guys.

Cheers

The spiders don't mind asp pages.

The suffix *could* be a small factor in search engine rankings, but I don't know about that.

The search engines couldn't care less if your pages are .htm, .html, .php, .asp, .jsp, etc., .etc.......it has no bearing on rankings.
