I've been looking over my raw logs at results from a new CPV campaign, and I'm not impressed. I'm hoping someone else might be willing to share their thoughts.

What I found was in excess of 1000 views on a given day. They started shortly after 8:00 am and abruptly stopped around 2:30 pm. That they suddenly stopped for the rest of they day is curious. I didn't exceed my budget. There could be another limiting factor on views per day, but I don't any see any mention of that.

All of the views were literally within seconds of each other, with an occassional 10 minute break. For the most part they were recorded from unique IP's and had unique UA's, but that's not hard to fake.

And that's what I'm wondering about. The patterns I'm seeing don't look real. For a penny a view and a free $50.00 trial budget I'm not concerned about the cost. But I'm having doubts about continuing this program.

Hi Grandpa: Sounds a bit suspicious to me too, but there could be a simple explanation.

The 10-minute breaks could be somebody stopping for coffee or tea, or using the restroom.
The sudden stop at 1430 hours (your time? UTC?) could give a clue to the time zone of the
person having tea in the men's room or whatever.
The DNS #s for the clicks should be in your logs,
probably a better clue. -Larry

I don't have have DNS records in my logs. Too bad. I guess I'll watch it a few more days until the budget runs out.
