I just received an email from Top-Pile, informing the world that they are closing shop with unpaid debts. As we have been using their service, specifically the Top4Clicks service for quite a while, it was with a certain amount of surprise that they were in so much trouble.

The way that they drove traffic was to solicit high PR (PR and Page Rank refer to Google's Page Rank System) websites, to put directory style navigation and pages, where some of the high PR carried over to the inner advertisement pages. As a result, these inner pages managed to drive huge amounts of visitors to our clients' websites. Due to their high PR, these inner pages were placed in higher positions for the search results then other "normal" pages. All visitors sent over where then charged on a PPC basis.

I hope no one hear lost a lrge amoung of money in deposits there.

Does anyone has deposits there?

I have 200 pounds.

Will they return me my money?

Why did top4clicks terminate their service?

Service was pretty good and i got targeted traffic.

Apparently I am guessing that they over extended themselves and could not deliver enough of the traffic they needed to inorder to sustain their overhead.

I have a credit of around £150 with Top Pile, I don't suppose I stand a cat in hells chance of getting it back. Does anyone know if it's worth trying and how to go about it.
Cheers
