For the most part, ppc's like kanoodle and ah-ha are a total waste of money, while findwhat, adwords and overture seem to have good returns if you run the campaign effectively.
7search however is a complete mystery for me, personally I've only now opened up an account. It seems for every success I hear about running a campaign with them, I hear a nightmare story also. This reason made me hesitate doing any business with them, but I cant deny the good bids and potential return if everything is on the up and up.
Has anyone got a better grip on the 7search mystery? Is it simply dependent upon the advertisers skill or is the quality of 7searchs traffic the real question?
From my experience they rely too heavily on a click protection system that requires surfers to fill out a dialog box answering a question about their origin.
This does a great job of identifying some kinds of click fraud (thus the positive experiences) but at the same time it throws usability out the window. What user wants to fill out a dialog box before they can visit the search result?
Because they rely on this tactic they are not spending as much time as they should be implementing more high tech automated fraud control (thus the negative experiences).
