Is this possible? A group of people wants to repeatedly click one company's PPC advertising links to increase that company's expenses. Can that happen? If so, what's to keep my small business from waking up one day and finding I owe $thousands?
Obviously, I'm new at this. In my business, a competitor might do that, if I take one of their clients away.

Fraudulent traffic, the metrics will paint the picture so don't worry too much about it.

In fact, the group doing it is more likely to damage their own online experience as their IPs start hitting honeypots.

Even the site displaying the ads is more likely to be hurt by this because the clicks are low value, but the sites have tools to banish bullies.

People who do this are often clueless as to the impact of what they are actually doing, and who they are actually hurting etc.

@Ray J Johnson Jr ... Welcome to Webmasterworld!

The ad companies can usually identify this kind of bad behavior and take steps to curb it. These end up as invalid clicks.

How many clicks from the same source before the system gets suspicious? When I'm shopping, I sometimes click the same company's ad many times.
