Advertising on linkedin?

Some dingdong I don't know tried to friend me on linkedin again today. So I signed into my account (the only time I ever do that) and noticed some ads targetted at my niche on my page.

Now, business owners and professionals are a reasonably good market for my product. So perhaps I should be advertising there. Has anyone had success with advertising on linkedin?

And can you geotarget your ads?

I've tried out LinkedInAds but haven't really had a positive response yet. They allow you to 6 different segments and narrow down your target market. For example, you can choose the industry, their position (VP, Director, Manager, Analyst) and other targeting, like geographic targeting, gender targeting and age targeting. I believe there are probably some LinkedInAds coupons floating around, so try to find some and just give it a go. Thats how I got started.

I've been playing around with LI ads for a few days now. I'm not having much success so far (in large part I believe because ads have to be in English, which is not my target audience's language), but at least there's some good above the line branding.
Does anyone have any updates or other experience with LI ads?

I've advertised on LinkedIn for a B2B client. While it generated a decent ROI, the volume was so very little. I keep the ads running, but don't expect much from it.

Since my last post we continued to advertise on Linkedin, though it was pretty low volumes.
However, we've just noticed that they have a serious problem with click fraud on their Ads platform. Their support claims that a visitor can't click more than once every 24 hours, but we have individual visitors repeatedly clicking through on our ads up to 4-5 times a day, every day!
The Ads support team don't even give you refunds for click fraud as they conveniently "don't support outside tracking programs" such as GA, Statcounter or Piwik which show up the problem.
I'd advise anybody advertising on Linkedin to be careful as it's a problem they don't want to know about or deal with.
