where is the best place to place adds for ebooks?

I am trying to help my daughter with her online business.
She sells her own Ebook using adwords.
Getting people to see the ads has been very expensive for her keywords.

The good.
Adword campaign works.
The book has been turning over US$4000 a month without any links or even a blog at first.

Her squeeze page is short, blog is wordpress and offer free useful information relevant to her market niche.
Testimonials pour in every time she sends out her free newsletter, which is bi monthly.

The bad.
Google gets the bulk of the budget.
When we paid for pro help, it got even worse.

The cost of adwords campaigns shopping cart and list management mean she will need to become as famous as Shakespeare before she can make a living and feed her 5 kids better.

We have both had wonderful assistance from many online experts and we appreciate them very much.
Unlike some "Gurus" who are fleecing the gullible with all the "Easy ways to make money online".
It has been everything else.....but not easy!

i've had much success with ebay, for the money she is not spending on adwords, she could probably drop the price of her book and sell more
