curious about low cost PPC

Hey guys,

I have a new site that I want to market with a PPC campaign. The site is in a highly competitive, high bid per keyword, market. This is more of a test for me and I don't want to be dropping 3-5 $'s a click just to see if this site is capable of pulling leads. What are good alternatives -- just for testing purposes?

If you're happy to run with low traffic then look for the more niche long phrases (long tail of search if you will...). You should be able to get chjeaper clicks by using more targetted keyword phrases rather than the higher traffic geenric terms.
This will obviosuly bring less traffic but should keep you CPC lower (and in theory increase your conversion rates)
