Impact on clicks of Yahoo! UK switch from Espotting to Overture

less visits from espotting but no more from overture

Espotting clicks dropped in one day (monday 3) form 950 to 370. Now that's a fall!
But also Overture clicks instead of growing went down from 340 to 250 the same day!
Perhaps this is so because Yahoo UK shows just 4 bids and Overture has higher bids on average so my bids are no more enough to get at least the 4th sposts. Am I right? Have you experienced a similar loss in clicks?

That is huge difference. Anyone else seeing any changes?

Yes, I'm seeing changes. Since 30th October, one campaign has dropped from an average of 110 clicks a day to around 40.

I was expecting a drop, but my Espotting clicks seem to have gone up about 30% this month when compared with the first 5 days of October. Very weird...

The strange thing is that the drop took place 4 days after the changeover

Yesterday clicks have raised to 515, still much less than before

same here I'm seeing a drop of about 3/4 in clicks, time to push up the overture bids

3/4 means thay yahoo covered only 25% of Espotting clicks? I'd rather say around 50%
They have also sent an annoyng promotional email saying ESPOTTING GROWTH EXPLODES

Anyone measuring the increase in Overture traffic? It will give us a good idea of Yahoo's market share... I'd love to give numbers but we made some huge changes to most of our bids around the timne of the changeover, so I don't have a reliable base for most large samples.

Funnily enough I have had a recent surge in my clients Espotting account, despite the change over, i.e. almost 7 times up on normal. Is anyone else seeing this or do you think its foul play?

Maybe Espotting acquired a new partner who's big in the field you target. Luck!

Just check it is not one keyphrase with a ridulously high click through rate - that woudl be a sure sign of fould play by a competitor.

maybe espotting decided to let their pratners sned any old rubbish through just for the volume

There are a lot of Espotting partners in the Google SERPs today. This has been pushing click rates up.

Yeah, it looks like a genuine surge in Espotting traffic. Very confusing seeing as though they just lost there biggest partner. If it is something to do with Espotting partner sites showing up in Google, then that goes to show the power the big G carries.

Weekly traffic has dropped from 6.300 to 3.900
