Hi Guys...

I run very tailored Adgroups and Landing Pages across Google/Yahoo...and across 1500 keywords over the last six months collectively $80000 has been spent on, to ease the illustration, 400 kephrases spening on average $200 each collectively between them, with not ONE conversion

$200 spent over 6 months on ONE word = not a lot
$200 over 6 months on ALL = $80k

I have pinned back Max CPC to $0.10 on all of these words..

Was it the right thing to do, in my mind, if they havent done anything in 6 months, will they ever, is it drip-feed click fraud on industry buzz words?

what would you do..

mjp - first thing i would do is figure out what you were doing the past 6 months. all due respect, but it usually takes about a week to figure out if an ad is working, not 6 months.

your issue could be with the landing page, the product you are selling, or maybe something deeper within your site (i.e. not trustworthy, cart not responsive, slow load times, pricing too high). Your question is very general and cannot be easily answered. Given your apparent deep pockets, the best suggestion i could make would be to go trial and error. Change one thing, wait a week, evaluate, repeat until it works for you

@mjp,

Did you get any conversions from anything over that period (organic, typein, some other referral)? Do you have a feedback page on your site for people to indicate how they discovered it? Don't explicitly rely on PPC.

i'm more curious as to who suggested that this was a good thing to do.

was this some sort of recipe that was laid out by someone else?
