Just received an email re class action suit against Yahoo! by 'Checkmate Strategic Group'.

Looks like the Google one.

Any ideas on:

- is it genuine?

- pros/cons of participating?

I can't vouch for your particular email, but there definitely are both email and postal mail notifications about the settlement that are genuine. Try a search for obviously related terms and you'll find thousands of pages about it on the web.
