Well - having had a nice busy January with about $2000 spending on MIVA - 58% of clickthroughs show < 10 seconds on the page they land on and do nothing else.

Of the remaining 42% only about 50% clickthrough to another page.... and from our session based system, about 5% of those click on useful links (PPC, Ads, More info etc)

So with an average bid of $0.10 that means:

20,000 'visitors'
11,600 'unknown'
4,200 'clickthrough'
210 'users'

Ouch - this means that my $2000 spend is actually working out at $9.52 per 'user' for my sites.

Seeing as we target our advertising carefully and do not push users on specific terms through to general pages... I can only assume that there are a whole load of dodgy affiliates out there

Any one else with similar findings for recent Jan traffic?

I suppose the problem is much more Miva than January. I personally just trust Overture, Chitika and AdWords. They are more expensive but they do something against cheaters.

Anton, chitika do not accept advertisers. They are a publisher network.

Watchthis is right: Chitika wont accept us as advertisers. It is only open for publishers.
