Hi all,

I'm trying to put together some rough ballpark figures for cost per acquisition, but need some information.

Many of our current PPC keep the keyword ranked around #5-#8 on adwords/overture.

What percentage of traffic increase could I expect by bumping them to #1, #2, #3?

Example: Assume 100,000 hits for a keyword. What would the distributino look like for PPC?

1- 50,000
2- 30,000
3- 10,000
4- 5,000
5- 5,000

Does something like that look accurate? Or is the difference less drastic between position 2-4?

Thanks,

Yech. You should expect a lot more traffic by going up - or down. When I start hitting that dead zone, I'll either bid up - or bid down. I'd rather be spot 9 -11 than spots in the middle of that range.
