Does anybody have any experience with advertising in comparison shopping directories such as Kelkoo they'd be able to share?
Specifically, how does it compare with AdWords/Overture in terms of hassle, admin time, traffic and conversions? I understand that their model is broadly similar (PPC) with some on fixed CPC's and some on bid for placement, with Kelkoo seemingly exactly the same as AdWords (max bid x CTR = ad rank).
Which are the best shopping sites to advertise with in your experience?
Thanks for your time.
One of the above gave me a list of prices per click: one product was about 20p per click - a product with a 90% or more profit margin. But for other products, they wanted nearly 40p per click even though the product was only running at a 10% margin if you were lucky. Retail prices are similar too - so they don't have a clue how much you make and how much they really should charge!
Depending on your trade, you may get a great deal (or completely ripped off).
One of the above has just risen my prices by almost 30% in two weeks (that was two price rises, not one - now having to pay for services that were originally free).
