All of sudden I lost all my ranking. My website was number 1 with a lot many keywords. We still have very good ranking in Google and yahoo. Our website is authority site in the industry. Many of MFA websites and affiliate websites got rankings from the text they copied from us. Anyone else noticing the same thing?
Thanks
When you do a linkdomain: command do your own URLs appear way below others?
Do you still rank for the company name or unique title the way you used to?
If the answers are Yes, Yes, and No then welcome to the MSN spam filter victims club!
Go to [live.com ] and change your region to UK or some other country and see if you still rank there.
I believe the filter is not as aggressive for countries other then US.
Sounds like you are right. Thank for reply Shurik. My problem is same as BillyS problem. How can I fix this? MSNdude please let me know what step I can take. My website is not a spam site. I have very good ranking in both Google and yahoo. How should I explain this to my client?
I appreciate your help
Could you please suggest us what we should do? My internal pages are ranking before homepage. This looks like a spam filter. I am pretty sure this is not because of our mistake.
You were very cooperative all the time. I hope the same from you this time.
Thanks

One thing I noticed when I check my back links is a lot of pages that redirect to my homepage with the followign type of code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN">
<HTML><HEAD>
<TITLE>302 Found</TITLE>
</HEAD><BODY>
<H1>Found</H1>
The document has moved <A HREF="http://www.mysite.com/">here</A>.<P>
<P>Additionally, a 302 Found
error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
</BODY></HTML>
I had a privilege of receiving a reply from MSNdude who personally examined my sites. He acknowledged the problem but didn't offer any immediate solution.
I think the results were far more relevent at the launch of search than they are now, the spam filtering went wrong a good while back and with each update the relevency gets weaker.
I may have a fair amount of crappy links pointing to my site. In my case the penalty simply pushes my site to the third page no matter how easy the keyword is.
Dear Msndude,
Please flip the switch back on my sites.
If you do, i will move all my ad campaigns from AdWords to AdCenter.
my site is totally gone from the first 50 -200 pages. i notice one of my Competitors that have copy my site totally he have no contents only google adds and hidding keywords stuffing and a fuew back links. i have also google adds and some relevant content and alot of back links from AddWeb Website Promoter. any way he is on the first page and his keyword density on a word is like 22% and my 8%.
i also like to know what is going on here?
Regards.
What do you see when you do a site: command? Is your home page buried below second or third level pages with older cache dates? When you do a linkdomain: command do your own URLs appear way below others?

I have a problem with my index page. I followed Shurik steps above and the result is:
1. site: command , index page is on 3rd level , but cache is NOT older that 3-5 days and index page is updated in this time frame.
2. linkdomain: my site appears way bellow others
3. My subpages rank for unique title, but not index page
When I search for KW in live.com I found my subpages but no index page. Before June my index page was ranked in top3-5 for month's.
Do you think that my index page is filtered by spam filter?

Has the number of pages indexed by MSN of your site that was negatively affected also dropped drastically?
The reason I ask is that is what has happened to one site of ours, and maybe this could be a clue.

I'm not sure the number reported by site: is something to go on.
I have one client site that has around 1500 pages, MSN says it sees 468.
I have another client site that has around 70 pages, MSN reports it as having 238 pages.
One of my personal sites has just over 500 pages, and MSN reports it as 1970 pages.
None of these sites is ranking as well as it was a couple of months ago; one has severely tanked in MSN (ironically at the same time it's risen quite high in Google and Yahoo)
