asp extensions showing as second page

i am noticing that Google is looking at some of my pages, as 2 separate pages...

index.asp

indes.asp?id=

what do i need to do, to make sure this is not an issue of duplicate content?

is that an IIS entry i need to consider implementing?

Link only to the one format you want users to use.

Set up a 301 redirect such that if anyone requests the other format they are redirected to the correct URL including www and any other fixes that need to be done at the same time.
