I hope I'm right here with my questions.
I took my site online about a month ago.
It did fine when I googled for snipped and snipped since about 2 weeks ago. (was #1 for both searches, also pretty good when searching for snipped.
Then my ranking dropped badly and lots of pages with really less to no content about my topic show up much higher.
There are even some pages that show links to my page that are indeed ranked higher than my page itself so I wonder if I maybe did something wrong so that google thought I'd spam with density or something.
I used an online tool to check out density and I thought it looked pretty fine, also when looking for word-density for another term.
I just can't find an answer to that recent drop, page was already main-indexed some days ago but that didn't help either.
Am I doing something wrong? Could you have a look maybe? It's a non-commercial page offering real content and that's what google should find issn't it?
greetings and thanks,

thank you.
So why was I ranked pretty high before and then dropped? Because of googles fresh crawl?
To get better PR I need to get more links to my page right? Title etc. is also important I've heard, also URL and keyword density, but that doesn't seem to matter that much :)
What would you do to get better PR?
greetings and thanks,
kodo
It's happening all over, Google is appalling at the moment.
I have even stopped using it for my personal searches despite using them exclusively for years - the results are rubbish.
I am sitting tight and hoping G' sees sense and reverts.
