hi all,
i am using keywords for the dynamic pages of my site. there are different pages like trade offers, auctions etc. and there are different categories for products like agriculture, art/craft , computer softwares etc.

my confusion is, that say i am writing some keywords for the category "agriculture". then do i have to add different keywords for the same agriculture category for "auctions" page and for "trade offers" page?

if i am using common keywords for the same category on different pages will it effect the business?

thanks

I may have missed your point, but if you mean what i think you mean, then just create a keywords/description table to your database, and dynamically pull the correct set for the page thats being shown

hi davemark,
i am trying to know that should i add different keywords for say category "agriculture" that is appearing both on "Auctions" page and the "trade offers" page of my site.

i am pulling the keywords from database, that way i have no problem of adding the keyword.

i am talking about keyword contents for the page for category agriculture.
do i need different keywords for "auction" page and "trade offers" page?
can i add same set of keywords for the same category "agriculture" in the auctions page and trade offers page.

thanks

I assume by keywords you mean in the meta-keywords tag and not the actual page content

The only word of caution that I have is trying not to have duplicate content (considered spam). If it is meta-keywords you are talking about generating from the database, then these have very low importance as far as page optimisation goes and probably doesn't matter whether they are different or not.

If you use keywords for both pages and append keywords for the pages themselves then I really don't believe you'll have any problems.
