i have a question concerning the linktext for my pages: I realised that if i link a page with a keyword text (for example: chicken) then it gets a boost in the chicken serps. my page is a shopping guide for many different products. so what do you think is the better for the linking text from internal and external sites for the subpages: "Buy Product" / "Purchase Product online" or similar keyword phrases
OR
just "Product"
What high ranking should be more important for shopping guide sites? I think it should be the "buy product" phrases but im sure if i link which such keyword phrases i wont receive much traffic as if i would receive linking with having a high ranking with "product" but the conversion rate should be higher. so what do you think would be better for the subpages?
Would be very nice if some could post their opinions.

I think of "buy product" as a strong call to action phrase. If you can buy the product there, I would use "buy product" over "Purchase Product online".
Of you can not buy the product on the page your linking to, I would just just use "product" or another variation such as "product information" or "products review'. etc.
