Web site positioning

Hello All,

I am a first time visiter of this site and I am need of some real help here! I would really appreciate if someone could guide me on how to position my website to attract traffic toward it!

My website is under development <snip>

Please help me on how I can generate traffic! My budgets are very low to start with, so need some good advise from people who can help!

My Company is a list brokerage house and a Specialty Sales Lead Provider providing highly targeted mailing lists, telemarketing lists, sales leads, marketing databases, prospecting databases, list management and list brokering services to the call center and the direct marketing industry focusing on both the B2B and the B2C markets. As a a List broker I am wondering if this site has specific forums or sections which are tagreted to my area of specialization and I could get the answers to me question from like minded people.

Thanks for all your help JB. I did have a chance to read through the link that you sent. The article is very intersting and very helpful. As a list broker I find this site very interesting and have learn a lot already.
