Hi all. Got a question: A client of mine has a site, that has quite good posions in SE's. But now he decided to make a redesign. This will include deleting most of the text content. Will this affect the ranking?

he may dissapear without trace ..or he may shoot to number one ..depends on his off page factors ..look up "tired" on "g".. and then look up the threads here and elsewhere that talk about the "whys"
oh and welcome to WebmasterWorld just noticed your post count was 1

I would be shocked if the site went up in the rankings. In my experience less text almost always moves a site DOWN. The only exception seems to be if the old design was way over-stuffed with keywords.

It sounds like a russian roulette to me. But, anyway thanks.
